The Role: Trader – Limassol, Cyprus
Monjasa is looking for a driven, opportunity-oriented professional with a strong sales mindset to support its supply operations and trading activities in Limassol. The role is designed for an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to serve as part of the main engine propelling the business forward.
Equipped with the right skillsets and expertise, the Trader will influence the direction of Monjasa and help solidify its strong market position across physical supply and back-to-back trading. Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Develop, maintain, and nurture a solid, stable portfolio of customers, bringing in a valuable network from day one.
- Bunker Trading Execution: Execute daily trading activities and provide optimal customer satisfaction by offering specialist advice in bunker solutions and building strong personal relations.
- Logistical Coordination: Provide crucial internal support by surveying ports and regions, tracking vessel movements, and coordinating seamless marine fuel deliveries.
- Regional Projects: Handle regional projects and manage ad hoc tasks closely related to the shipping and oil sectors.
- Market Expansion: Continuously scout for new business opportunities and strengthen current commercial operations across European shipping lanes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Applicants should possess a relevant education at a minimum bachelor’s level, backed by professional experience from either the shipping industry or a dedicated sales position.
- Commercial & Interpersonal Skills: Monjasa is seeking individuals who demonstrate a high customer focus, analytical and numerically strong thinking, skill as a negotiator, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English is an absolute must. Proficiency in additional languages is considered a great asset for international operations.
