The Role: Junior Bunker Trader – London, United Kingdom
Bunker One is looking for a commercially aware, numerical professional with a strong interest in international business to support its trading and sales operations at its London hub. The role is designed for an individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to kick-start a professional career in commodity trading.
Equipped with expert training and mentorship from senior colleagues, the new Junior Bunker Trader will assist with customer enquiries, quotations, order entry, and contract administration. Candidates will take ownership of maintaining trade files, handling post-delivery documentation, and supporting compliance processes while helping to ensure seamless order execution from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Support: Assist senior traders with customer enquiries, quotations, pricing calculations, market intelligence, lead generation, and CRM updates.
- Order Entry & Administration: Negotiate prices, enter bunker sales and purchase orders into company systems, and ensure documentation is complete and correctly recorded for all stakeholders.
- Operational Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, customers, agents, terminals, and transport providers to support smooth order execution, monitor deliveries, and handle post-delivery documentation.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist with agency, onboarding, credit, and compliance processes, and contribute to daily trading reports and internal audits.
