Key Responsibilities
- Fuel Quality and Technical Assurance: Act as Maersk’s technical expert on marine fuel quality, performance, and operational risk, leading investigations into fuel disputes, claims, and commercial settlements while advising stakeholders across the organization.
- Alternative Fuels and Testing: Support the testing, evaluation, and implementation of conventional, biofuel, and emerging marine fuels, translating field trials into operational guidance and contributing to Maersk’s fuel transition strategy.
- Risk, Compliance, and Industry Engagement: Monitor fuel regulations and industry developments, drive corrective actions, and represent Maersk in industry forums, OEM working groups, and standardization bodies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with vessel crews, technical specialists, suppliers, laboratories, OEMs, and senior management to ensure fuels are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Applicants must bring 10+ years of experience in marine fuels markets or related energy industries, with proven expertise in investigating and resolving complex fuel-related technical issues.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of marine fuel specifications, quality assessment, laboratory testing, fuel performance, and risk management assurance processes.
