- Internal Collaboration & Governance: Act as the primary interface between clients and internal working groups (trading, operations, credit, and compliance), ensure adherence to risk policies, provide accurate sales forecasting, maintain CRM records, and mentor junior sales team members.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Relevant experience in marine fuels/bunkering, commodities trading, shipping, or a related field, with proven expertise in sales, trading, broking, or a similar commercial role.
- Commercial & Interpersonal Skills: Strong understanding of bunker markets, fuel specifications, and vessel operations. Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts, negotiate effectively, balance commercial objectives with client relationships, and work independently or collaboratively.
- Regional Knowledge & Languages: Familiarity with bunker ports, shipping routes, and trade lanes across North and South America is a strong advantage, alongside an established local network. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
- Professional Standards & Travel: High self-motivation, strong analytical skills, sound commercial judgment, and a willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, port visits, and conferences.
