TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, a division of TotalEnergies dedicated to global bunkering activities, is currently seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as a Conventional and New Fuels Bunker Trader for the Asia Pacific region. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in commodity trading and marine fuels to contribute to TotalEnergies commitment to providing innovative and efficient bunkering services while driving the decarbonization of the marine industry.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing/Business/Engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in commodity trading, marine fuels, or similar environments.
  • Knowledge of trading, hedging, and trading operations, with an energy background.
  • Familiarity with LNG and renewables markets (beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Self-driven with a commercial attitude and rigorous work ethic.
  • Strong relationship and account management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, including regular travel.
  • Comfortable working across diverse cultures.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Daily trading and hedging of conventional and new fuels within the assigned regions and portfolio.
  • Developing market expertise and understanding price exposure of new fuels to optimize profitability.
  • Maintaining high responsiveness to inquiries and term tenders.
  • Providing tailor-made solutions to meet client needs.
  • Managing contracts and obligations closely.
  • Assisting in the development of new fuels and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Prospecting and developing new markets and clients.
  • Establishing TotalEnergies’ market presence through active engagement with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with internal and external teams to develop new solutions and coordinate opportunities.
  • Conducting reporting and knowledge-sharing with the team and management.

HSE Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to report anomalies, near misses, share best practices, and provide feedback on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) findings.
