The ideal candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possess strong numerical skills. While expertise in accounting or statistics is not mandatory, it will be advantageous. We highly value strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret market environments.
Responsibilities
- Actively market CPN’s diverse range of products and services, nurturing relationships with a broad portfolio of clients to drive sales.
- Understand and interpret market environments to meet customer needs, providing appropriate product recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the Credit Department to manage credit risks and ensure prompt payment collection.
- Communicate effectively with fellow traders to optimize the flow of market and customer intelligence across the company.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commodity trading, shipping, or the marine industry, with familiarity in bunker fuel trading being advantageous.
- Strong understanding of global commodity markets, particularly the marine fuel sector and related environmental regulations.
- Ability to analyze market trends, financial reports, and trading data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
- Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are beneficial.
- Understanding and adherence to legal and ethical standards in international trading and finance.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of the market and work flexible hours as needed.
