The Role: Junior Trader
Based in the Rio de Janeiro office and reporting to the Domestic Market Manager, you will initially focus on the Upstream O&G Client Portfolio. This role is designed to build your trading foundation, where you will learn the fundamentals of the bunker market while participating in active commercial operations. You will work in a collaborative environment, receiving direct mentorship from experienced traders.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Assist with pre- and post-fixing activities, including documentation and transaction support.
- Market Intelligence: Perform market research and analyze trends to support trading decisions.
- Relationship Management: Support the development of strategic client relationships and sourcing activities in the Brazilian region.
- Trading Lifecycle: Gain hands-on experience in the commercial process of buying and selling marine fuels.
- Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s market position by ensuring consistent, high-quality execution for the local portfolio.
Candidate Profile
- Mindset: A strong commercial mindset with a genuine motivation to learn and a versatile, hands-on approach.
- Education: Open to various backgrounds, ideally within Economics, Management, Engineering, or International Business.
- Languages: Proficiency in both English and Portuguese (written and spoken) is essential.
