A.P. Moller – Maersk is seeking a Senior Fuel Trader to join their dynamic Maersk Oil Trading (MOT) team, based in Copenhagen. MOT is Maersk’s fuel sourcing arm, managing the supply, storage, procurement, and delivery of fuel for the fleet. As one of Maersk’s primary customers (accounting for 80% of the business), MOT handled over 12 million metric tons of fuel purchases in 2024. Fuel is one of the largest operating costs for Maersk vessels, and MOT optimizes sourcing through a combination of self-supply and third-party sources. Currently, approximately 70% of the volume is supplied through MOT’s integrated supply setup, including storage, barging, blending in key hubs, and its own production via a tolling unit in ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp).

The Senior Fuel Trader will play a pivotal role in managing fuel trade across Europe and Africa, as well as supporting Maersk’s transition towards LNG, biofuels, green methanol, and other sustainable energy solutions.
