VIKING has been appointed Dräger’s Official Preferred Global Sales and Service Partner for respiratory protection and mobile gas detection equipment across the maritime industry. The agreement expands their existing cooperation and gives Dräger customers access to VIKING’s global network of certified service stations. The partnership strengthens worldwide access to critical marine safety equipment, servicing and support across shipping, offshore, passenger, naval and coastguard sectors.
Hamburg | September 2, 2026 – VIKING Life-Saving Equipment has been appointed Official Preferred Global Sales and Service Partner for Dräger’s full range of respiratory protection and mobile gas detection equipment for the maritime industry.
The agreement formalises and expands an existing cooperation between the two established maritime safety companies and gives VIKING responsibility for supporting Dräger’s marine safety products across the global shipping industry.
Global Sales and Service Partnership
Under the agreement, VIKING will provide sales and service support for Dräger’s respiratory protection equipment, mobile gas detection systems, tubes, and drug and alcohol detection kits to maritime customers worldwide.
The partnership was formally announced during a signing ceremony at SMM 2026 in Hamburg on 2 September, strengthening the companies’ existing relationship and creating a broader global service network for Dräger’s marine customers.
Henrik Helsinghof, CEO of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, said the partnership brings together two companies recognised for their expertise and quality in maritime safety. “This partnership aims to leverage the benefits of scale and strong collaboration to ensure continuity in supply and service in this critical area of safety and life-saving equipment.”
Access to VIKING’s Global Service Network
VIKING said Dräger customers will benefit from its extensive network of certified service stations serving cargo shipping, offshore assets, passenger vessels, navies and coastguards. The network is expected to improve access to both equipment and servicing, particularly for vessels operating internationally and requiring safety equipment support across multiple ports.
VIKING is a major provider of maritime safety and firefighting solutions, with its portfolio including marine evacuation systems, lifeboats, liferafts, rescue boats, davits, personal protective equipment (PPE) and marine fire services.
Supporting Maritime Safety Worldwide
Dräger has a presence in more than 190 countries, while its maritime business has established a position in respiratory protection, portable gas detection and related safety equipment. The expanded partnership reflects Dräger management’s decision to work with a global partner capable of supporting its marine product portfolio across international shipping markets.
Rainer Klug, Executive Board Member Safety Technology at Dräger, said having equipment and servicing available through a single source is increasingly important for maritime operators seeking to keep critical safety systems ready for use. “With VIKING, we have found a partner that is present exactly where our customers need complete safety solutions – in the world’s key port regions.”
The agreement strengthens the companies’ ability to provide global supply, servicing and support for critical marine safety equipment, while giving Dräger’s maritime customers access to VIKING’s established international service infrastructure.
