Titan, a leading provider of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biomethane (LBM) to the maritime industry, has successfully completed its first simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) bunkering at the SeaTank terminal in Ghent, Belgium. This milestone delivery involved Titan supplying 180 metric tonnes of LNG to the newbuild vessel Thun Vettern, for Furetank Chartering AB, a pioneering integrated shipping company.

The Thun Vettern, a state-of-the-art vessel, bunkered in Northern Europe for the first time during this operation. Utilizing Titan’s FlexFueler 001, the LNG was transferred directly to the vessel while it remained operational in port, eliminating the need for the ship to visit a layby location. This SIMOPS process significantly reduced the vessel’s port turnaround time, enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing delays.

The use of Titan’s FlexFueler 001 marks a major step forward for SIMOPS bunkering in the region. Titan regularly facilitates SIMOPS deliveries in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region and continues to work closely with global stakeholders to expand access to safe and controlled operations for vessels in various locations.

As the leading supplier of LNG and LBM, Titan remains committed to offering flexible and sustainable fuel bunkering solutions. These solutions are vital for the shipping industry’s ongoing transition to cleaner energy. Titan’s ability to perform SIMOPS bunkering reduces the downtime vessels experience in port, further supporting the decarbonization goals of the maritime sector.

Titan’s Commitment to Clean Fuel Solutions

Since its founding in 2012, Titan Clean Fuels has grown into a key player in the global LNG and LBM market. Headquartered in Amsterdam, Titan specializes in providing end-to-end clean fuel solutions for the shipping industry. This includes project planning, supply, delivery, risk management, and hedging services to mitigate the volatility of fuel prices.

As an independent company, Titan collaborates with other suppliers of low-carbon and carbon-neutral marine fuels to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain, regardless of location. Titan’s focus on developing a global supply network aims to facilitate the widespread use of LNG and BioLNG today, while paving the way for future hydrogen-derived fuels.

Titan’s mission is to contribute to a cleaner future by supplying LNG and LBM to shipping and industry today, while preparing to offer hydrogen-derived fuels in the near future. Liquefied biomethane (LBM) is currently the best available transport fuel to drive the energy transition. Over the next few decades, LBM will play a critical role in decarbonizing the shipping industry.

To achieve this goal, Titan is actively building a global supply network in collaboration with local experts, ensuring that infrastructure developed for LNG can also support future clean energy solutions. This infrastructure not only supports the delivery of LBM and hydrogen-derived methane but is also adaptable to other carbon-neutral solutions as they become viable.

Titan is at the forefront of the energy transition, continuing to innovate and lead in clean fuel lng bunkering, enabling the shipping industry to meet its environmental targets. Through its innovative approaches, Titan is building the necessary infrastructure to support the shipping industry’s transition to decarbonization, while continuing to explore and integrate new carbon-neutral solutions.
