Denmark | March 19, 2026 – In a significant move for the decarbonization of the maritime sector, Terntank Rederi A/S officially named the M/T Tern Dal today at the Fayard A/S shipyard in Munkebo.
The ceremony, held on 19 March 2026, marks the arrival of the third vessel in the company’s pioneering Hybrid Solution Plus® series. The M/T Tern Dal represents a fusion of traditional seafaring and cutting-edge green technology, specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of the evolving energy transition.
Engineering for the Energy Transition
The M/T Tern Dal is not merely a tanker; it is a sophisticated transport platform for the future. Built by China Merchants Industry Yangzhou Dingheng Shipyard, it marks the ninth collaboration between the shipyard and Terntank.
The vessel is purpose-built to transport renewable feedstocks and bio-based products, serving as a critical link in sustainable energy supply chains. Following the ceremony, the vessel will enter a long-term charter with Neste, where it will be tasked with the transport of renewable and low-emission products across the globe.
