Singapore Develops a National Standard for Marine Biofuels

Singapore has developed a national bunkering standard for marine biofuels. The city-state, which is also the world’s top bunkering port, hopes the move will encourage more ships to refuel in its waters with greener alternatives. As part of efforts to decarbonise the sector, the Maritime & Port Authority worked with industry, academia and other government organisations to develop the provisional quality standard.
