The Role: Bunker Trader — Singapore
As a Bunker Trader, you will be a core member of the Sales & Marketing department, focusing on the purchase and sale of marine fuel and associated products. The role requires a sharp commercial mindset, a strong customer focus, and a diligent approach to credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Pro-actively market to a portfolio of new and existing customers, establish, and build profitable, longstanding relationships, aiming to increase enquiries and sales.
- Trading & Negotiation: Understand, analyse, and interpret market conditions, identify counterparty needs, provide product and price information, negotiate deals, and prepare and process orders.
- Risk Control: Proactively control credit risk, ensuring that late payments are chased, costs of claims are minimised, and counterparty financial strength is regularly considered in conjunction with the Credit Team.
- Internal Collaboration: Openly communicate with other traders to maximise the efficient flow of market and customer intelligence and fully support international colleagues by diligently working inbound enquiries from other regional offices around the Peninsula Petroleum Group.
- Business Development: Develop and expand the company’s business portfolio by leveraging the Group’s global network to maximise all potential sales opportunities.
- Administrative Support: Handle administration and general customer queries relating to the sales process.
Candidate Profile
This role would suit someone with previous in Sales/Trading experience, ideally within the Energy/Maritime sector.
