The Role: Bunker Trader / Senior Trader — Singapore
Based in the vibrant maritime hub of Singapore, you will join an experienced team of bunker traders who are passionate about sharing knowledge and driving success. As a Bunker Trader, you will receive comprehensive industry training, hands-on experience with trading tools and platforms, and the opportunity to build your own client portfolio and sourcing channels.
This role offers a unique blend of autonomy and collaboration in a fast-paced, global trading environment. You’ll play a key role in market growth and business development while working alongside a motivated and skilled international team.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs, negotiate prices, and close bunker fuel deals with precision and professionalism.
- Participate in client and supplier visits to deepen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Support day-to-day bunker trading operations and contribute directly to expanding market share.
- Identify emerging business opportunities and actively support business development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless trading processes.
Candidate Profile
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the bunker industry, ideally in trading or sales roles.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in at least one additional language is highly desirable.
- Proven sales experience with a strong motivation to learn and grow within the bunker trading sector.
