Orient Overseas Container Line Co., Ltd. (OOCL) proudly marked a significant milestone with the naming ceremony of its twelfth 24,188 TEU newbuilding, the “OOCL Portugal.” The event took place at the Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) shipyard, officially marking the completion of OOCL’s eco-friendly mega vessel series.
The naming ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Mrs. Laura Liang Aron, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, who performed the naming duties, and Mr. Ni Zhao, Regional Head (Shanghai) of the Hong Kong Shipping Registry, as a special guest. The ceremony was attended by a range of notable figures, customers, and business partners, all contributing to the event’s success.
