By packaging this infrastructure into mobile, modular containers, the system can be deployed directly at decentralized emission sites, such as landfills, agricultural facilities, and remote oil and gas assets. It compresses and processes raw biomethane at the source, converting a localized greenhouse gas liability into a highly stable, energy-dense liquid asset: biomethanol.

A primary objective of the grant-backed commercialization push is supporting localized supply chains for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). Emvolon plans to establish cost-competitive, locally produced green fuel infrastructure to target two hard-to-abate transport hubs:
- The Port of Boston: Serving as a drop-in maritime fuel for a rapidly decarbonizing commercial shipping sector looking to meet strict international bunker mandates.
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS): Acting as a biogenic feedstock for the Methanol-to-Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) refining pathway.
Because methanol remains liquid at ambient temperatures, it avoids the extensive cryogenic cooling or high-pressure logistics required by hydrogen or liquefied methane, utilizing standard liquid-handling bunker infrastructure.
