Singapore-based marine fuel trading and delivery company Legasea Fuels has appointed Azmeer Aziz as Managing Director, bringing more than a decade of maritime, bunker trading and commercial experience to the company as it expands its regional fuel trading and physical delivery operations.
Singapore | August 10, 2026 – Legasea Fuels has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Azmeer Aziz as Managing Director, marking the next phase of development for the Singapore-based marine fuel trading and delivery company.
Azmeer brings more than ten years of experience across Singapore’s maritime and marine fuel sectors, spanning bunker surveying, shipowner and port services, and commercial bunker trading. His career has given him exposure to both the operational and commercial sides of the marine fuel supply chain, from physical fuel operations and vessel requirements to sourcing, pricing, negotiation and delivery.
A graduate of Singapore Polytechnic, where he studied Maritime Studies and Business Administration and Management from 2010 to 2013, Azmeer began his career in bunker surveying before moving into broader maritime operations and management.
From Maritime Operations to Bunker Trading
Azmeer spent more than eight years as Managing Director of Seaspade Marine, where he was involved in shipowner services, port operations and vessel bunkering requirements across Singapore and Malaysian waters. He subsequently spent nearly three years as a Bunker Trader with The Hawks Pvt Ltd, working across marine fuel sourcing, trading and delivery while developing relationships with shipowners, vessel operators and suppliers across regional markets.
The progression has given Azmeer experience across multiple stages of the maritime fuel value chain, combining practical operational knowledge with commercial trading expertise. That background now forms the foundation of his role at Legasea Fuels, where the focus is on building a responsive, relationship-led fuel trading and physical delivery platform from Singapore.
Combining Trading with Physical Supply
Legasea Fuels operates across two complementary areas: bunker trading and cross-harbour oil delivery.
The company says its physical delivery capabilities include two chemical/oil tankers with capacities of 10,000 metric tonnes and 5,000 metric tonnes, supporting fuel movements and physical supply requirements within the region. Alongside its physical operations, the company’s trading desk supplies marine fuels to shipowners and operators across regional ports and trade routes.
Its marine fuel portfolio includes ISO 8217-compliant grades, Low Sulphur Marine Gas Oil (LSMGO), Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO) and High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO). Its cross-harbour delivery offering also includes diesel, Marine Gas Oil and gasoline grades.
The combination of trading capability and physical delivery gives the company a platform to address both spot requirements and longer-term regional supply relationships.
A Relationship-Led Business
At the centre of Legasea Fuels’ positioning is a simple premise: “a relationship business, dressed as a transactional one.”
The company places direct communication, transparent pricing, operational capability and long-term customer relationships at the centre of its approach. Its stated principles, Trusted, Capable, Connected, Premium and Open, reflect an emphasis on reliability and execution alongside commercial competitiveness.
For customers, the process is deliberately straightforward: provide the required grade, volume and delivery port, with the company aiming to respond with a quotation within the working day. The approach reflects a wider philosophy that a marine fuel transaction does not end when the cargo is delivered. For Legasea Fuels, each transaction is an opportunity to build a relationship that can support future requirements.
Building from Singapore
Singapore provides Legasea Fuels with a strategic base in one of the world’s leading maritime and bunkering centres.
From there, the company says it serves markets across Asia-Pacific, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Timor-Leste, while extending its trading reach into the Middle East, Europe and the Caribbean.
With Azmeer now leading the company, Legasea Fuels is positioning itself to deepen its regional presence by combining commercial bunker trading with physical fuel delivery and a customer-focused operating model.
For a company operating in a market where timing, specification and reliability are critical, Azmeer‘s combination of maritime operational experience and bunker trading knowledge provides a foundation for the next stage of Legasea Fuels’ growth.
