Maritime technology company Ofiniti has agreed to ZeroNorth’s eBDN solution, integrating its technology and customer base onto Ofiniti’s unified Bunker Operating System. This marks Ofiniti’s third acquisition since 2024 as it works to consolidate fragmented supply, demand, and infrastructure across the global marine fuel sector. Meanwhile, ZeroNorth will reallocate its focus toward core shipping operations, such as voyage planning, pricing, and the application of agentic AI.
Høvik, Norway | September 22, 2026 – Maritime technology company Ofiniti has agreed to acquire the electronic Bunker Delivery Note (eBDN) solution from ZeroNorth, consolidating the technology and its customer base onto Ofiniti’s unified Bunker Operating System.
The strategic acquisition marks Ofiniti’s third buyout since spinning out as an independent company from DNV in September 2024. Following previous acquisitions of Singapore-based Angsana Technology and Dutch maritime tech firm Teqplay, the latest transaction reinforces Ofiniti’s rapid scaling as it builds an interconnected digital ecosystem linking supply, demand, and infrastructure across global bunkering.
Key Deal Highlights
- Target Acquired: BTS Pte. Ltd., the Singapore-based legal entity and license holder behind ZeroNorth’s eBDN solution.
- Platform Integration: ZeroNorth’s eBDN application and clients will transition into Ofiniti’s Bunker Operating System, ensuring seamless continuity of service for existing users.
- Market Footprint: Ofiniti currently serves over 200 global customers, has processed more than 50,000 bunker operations, and holds an estimated 40% share of Singapore’s digital bunkering market.
- ZeroNorth’s Strategic Realignment: ZeroNorth is offloading the eBDN platform to concentrate its bunkering investments strictly on core shipping operations, specifically procurement, pricing, and planning.
ZeroNorth Focuses on Core Shipping Operations and Agentic AI
For ZeroNorth, the divestment of the eBDN solution (held under legal entity BTS Pte. Ltd.) represents a calculated portfolio adjustment. The maritime tech leader intends to channel its resources into areas yielding the highest impact for core commercial shipping operations including Voyage and Vessel operations.
“eBDN has an important role to play in the continued digitalization of fuel operations, and we are proud of what we have built,” said Søren Andersen, CEO of ZeroNorth. “We believe Ofiniti is well placed to take eBDN forward and continue developing it for the industry. ZeroNorth will continue to invest in bunkering, focusing on the areas where we can create the greatest impact for the industry, connecting fuel decisions more closely with voyage and vessel operations, while increasingly applying agentic AI across the voyage.”
Connecting Supply, Demand, and Infrastructure
Since breaking away from DNV in late 2024, Ofiniti has experienced rapid growth through a dual strategy of organic expansion and targeted acquisitions. By absorbing fragmented tools into a single ecosystem, the company aims to bridge long-standing gaps between supply, demand, and physical port infrastructure.
Tue Raguse, CEO of Ofiniti, emphasized the fragmented nature of the legacy marine fuel sector “Bunkering has been built around fragmented systems, data and ways of working, and we see a huge opportunity to change that. We are deliberately building Ofiniti to connect supply, demand and infrastructure in one ecosystem. That means growing organically, but also bringing together strong businesses and technology where that can create better solutions for customers and a more connected industry.”
Singapore at the Epicenter of Growth
Singapore remains central to Ofiniti’s international growth strategy. Holding a significant share of Singapore’s digital bunkering market, Ofiniti is scaling up its multimillion-dollar investment in local talent, technology, and operational presence.
Collaborating closely with bodies such as the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), and Singapore Standards, Ofiniti views the Lion City as a blueprint for global digital bunkering standards.
“Singapore shows what can happen when an industry moves forward together,” added Tue Raguse. “It has created an environment where regulation, standards, technology and industry can develop alongside each other. That makes Singapore important not only to our business today, but to what we want to build globally.”
Following the announcement, teams from both Ofiniti and ZeroNorth stated they will work closely with existing clients to guarantee a friction-free transition, ensuring uninterrupted operational continuity and compliance readiness across global bunkering networks.
