Houston | March 24, 2026 – HyOrc Corporation, has entered into a binding project development and technology agreement with Bulgaria-based OnEnergy Group. The partnership aims to develop a sophisticated waste-to-methanol facility, marking a significant expansion of green fuel production infrastructure in Eastern Europe.
Under the terms of the agreement, HyOrc will serve as the primary technology partner for “Stage 3” of the project. This phase focuses on the thermochemical conversion of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), essentially processed municipal waste, into green methanol suitable for the maritime and industrial sectors.
Production Capacity & Technical Specs
The facility is engineered to tackle landfill diversion while simultaneously creating a high-value marine fuel. Key technical targets include:
- Feedstock: Processing approximately 50,000 tonnes of RDF per annum.
- Operational Scale: 330 days of annual operation with a daily throughput of 150–155 tonnes.
- Output: Expected production of 38–42 tonnes of green methanol per day, subject to final engineering configurations.

The project is designed to integrate into the broader European Union decarbonization framework. HyOrc will lead the technical preparation required to move the project through established industrial pathways, including applications for the EU Innovation Fund.
