We are expanding and therefore looking for a highly sales- and team-oriented Bunker Trader who, with a commercial mindset, is driven by sales and business development. A role with great responsibility and development
As our new Bunker Trader, you will join a team of professionals who share industry expertise and a passion for trading. You will play a major part in providing the foundation for new business growth and added selling-in on existing accounts. You will be responsible for establishing good relationships within the industry.
Furthermore, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
- Responsible for purchase, sale and supply of fuel and lube oil within the shipping industry with own client portfolio
- Initiate contact with new clients and establish good relationships
- Expand and nurture existing customer relationships
- Negotiate prices and deliver services based on agreed terms
- Identify business opportunities and support business development activities
- Understand customer requirements, provide guidance, and close deals

A Bunker Trader profile with great people skills and a commercial mindset
To succeed as our new Bunker Trader, you are an extrovert person with high stamina, and you possess a strong commercial understanding and mindset. You possess the ability to establish great relationships within the industry and meet both customers’ and supplier requirements. For this role, we believe you hold a Bachelor´s Degree, preferably within a relevant area to the business and bring 1-2 years of experience from sales. It is not a must that you bring experience within the industry, but it will of course be considered an advantage. You have a passion for our industry and a willingness to learn and develop within our field. You would describe yourself as hard-working, ambitious and goal oriented and have a hunter attitude.
In addition, you:
- Possess great negotiation skills
- Can analyze current market shares and spot new trends and opportunities
- Enjoy travelling internationally and domestically to meet clients and business prospects
- Are fluent both verbally and in writing in English and French
- Are based in Montreal, Quebec
