In a landmark event earlier today, Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) achieved a significant milestone in its commitment to greener maritime operations. The company’s state-of-the-art vessel, the CMA CGM Daytona, received its first bunkering of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Singapore, marking EPS 200th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation across its extensive fleet of dual-fuel vessels.
The CMA CGM Daytona, managed by EPS, was replenished with 930 cubic meters of LNG from Pavilion Energy’s LNG bunker vessel, LBV Brassavola. This operation underscores EPS’ dedication to reducing carbon emissions in the shipping industry by embracing cleaner energy alternatives.
Since initiating its bunkering operations in 2020, EPS has now received a total of 1,159,536 cubic meters of LNG. This achievement underscores EPS leading role in driving the green transformation of maritime transportation.
