You will play a major part in supporting the foundation within a fully integrated marine fuels supply system across the US Gulf, New Orleans, and Mobile. Objectives of this role: The main objectives of this role include ensuring the implementation of department-wide quality control measures, recommending new procedures to enhance the efficiency of day-to-day operations, maintaining open communication with the operations manager, ops team, and vendors to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points, assisting the operations manager in the development, planning, and coordination of operational activities, supervising inventory management practices, implementing improvements when necessary, and ensuring that operations comply with local and national regulations.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this role encompass monitoring day-to-day operations, providing performance reports, and suggesting actionable improvements as needed. Additionally, coordinating blends and managing inventory involves collaborating with the accounting department to ensure adherence to reporting standards. Furthermore, reviewing procedures and protocols, and disseminating them to the team, as well as communicating and reporting to the Managing Director—including operations and supply team updates, as well as vendor communication—are essential aspects of this position.
Required skills and qualifications: The required skills and qualifications for this role include demonstrated organizational skills, including effective time management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize urgent operational tasks. Moreover, experience in project management is highly desirable.

As an Operations Specialist, you excel in collaborative team environments while demonstrating the ability to work in a self-directed manner and deliver high-quality output.
Ideally, you hold a university degree in fields such as business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, with 2 or more years of experience in similar roles.
Additionally, you have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Two or more years of experience in an marine fuels operational or similar role
- Sustainable fuels experience & general knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other productivity applications and platforms
