The Unimot Group, a multi-energy conglomerate in Poland, proudly announces the commencement of its operations involving the supply of marine fuels in the vicinity of the ports of Szczecin, Świnoujście, and Police.

Continuing the implementation of the adopted plan to expand its operations in the bunker market and fulfilling earlier announcements in this regard, Unimot Paliwa, a subsidiary of the Unimot Group, has initiated operations in the marine fuel market within these ports. This achievement was made possible thanks to the rapid implementation of an investment in an installation designed for bunker fuels at the Szczecin Unimot Terminale.

The first supply made in the aforementioned area by the Unimot Group occurred on May 29, 2024 – the HERMES unit, owned by Fairplay Towage Poland, was bunkered in the port of Szczecin.

Robert Brzozowski, Vice President of the Management Board for Trade, Unimot S.A. Said “We are very pleased with the successive development of the marine fuel supply business in Polish ports, which fulfills the goals we outlined in our latest Business Strategy for 2024-2028. While implementing the strategy, we leverage our over 30 years of experience in the fuel market and the terminal infrastructure we have developed in a very short time in Szczecin.”

“Since the beginning, the goal of the Unimot Group has been to capitalize on market opportunities, and such opportunities are certainly created by the observed increase in cargo turnover and the number of ships in Polish ports. This undoubtedly serves as additional motivation for us to further develop in this area,” Robert Brzozowski added.

In March 2024, the Unimot Group initiated deliveries of distillate marine fuel MGO, conducted by tanker trucks, in the port of Gdansk and Port of Gdynia. In the vicinity of the ports of Szczecin, Świnoujście, and Police, deliveries of the same bunker fuel, i.e., MGO, will also be carried out based on tanker trucks.
