The Role: Bunker Operator
Based in the strategic maritime hub of Montevideo, you will serve as the operational backbone for physical bunkering activities. This position requires a seamless blend of logistics management and trader support, ensuring that every drop of fuel is delivered with precision and every contract is executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Coordination: Provide end-to-end management of the bunker schedule, overseeing the complex synchronization of purchases and sales.
- Fleet Scheduling: Manage the daily operations of the TFG bunker fleet, optimizing vessel movements to ensure timely deliveries to international shipping clients.
- Contract Execution: Lead all post-deal trading activities, from drafting documentation to resolving logistics bottlenecks and ensuring total compliance with maritime regulations.
- Trader Support: Act as the primary liaison between the trading desk and physical suppliers, ensuring real-time communication on cargo availability and terminal constraints.
- Supply Chain Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline local logistics in the South American region, contributing to the overall profitability of the desk.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a trading or logistics environment is preferred.
- Qualifications: A strong command of the English language (B2 level or higher) is essential for coordinating with global counterparts and managing international documentation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing complex schedules and a foundational understanding of maritime logistics or oil product handling.
