Monjasa, a global top 10 marine fuels supplier, has successfully initiated operations with its most recent fleet addition, the MT Stenheim (16,626-dwt), marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the offshore US Gulf market.
Following the announcement less than two weeks ago about the expansion of Monjasa’s Houston supply area to include Offshore US Gulf operations, the MT Stenheim made its first call to the BOSTCO terminal in the Houston Ship Channel on 10 November 2024. Here, the vessel loaded her first consignment of Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO), Marine Gas Oil (MGO), and High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO).
After 30 hours of loading, the MT Stenheim departed the terminal with close to 16,000 metric tonnes of marine fuels on board, proceeding directly to deliver fuel to a Teekay tanker stationed in the Galveston Offshore Lightering Area (GOLA). This initial delivery is a key moment in Monjasa’s offshore operations in the US Gulf, enhancing its ability to meet the growing demand for quality marine fuels in the region.

In addition to the offshore US Gulf expansion, Monjasa continues to supply marine fuels across the Greater Houston Area with its fleet of three barges. The company remains committed to providing reliable, high-quality fuel solutions to vessels in one of the world’s busiest and most competitive marine fuel markets.
