As our new Trading Assistant, you will join a very dynamic, passionate and professional Trading Floor, where the global trading hours set the frame for the timing and level of business activity. Excellent trading is much more than agreeing on a price to close a deal. It is just as much about being customer focused, provide a high level of service and building strong relations. Therefore, your primary role will be to support and ensure that our Traders can stay focused on driving the sales efforts by supporting with the administrative tasks, following all deliveries closely and keeping information up to date in the system. This way you will contribute to free up valuable time of the team to grow our business activities.
Areas of focus
- Provide daily quotation to Traders across the group, mainly inquiries from Korea
- Communicate with Korean suppliers and keep information up to date, e.g. market information, available credit line and certificate of quality
- Follow up on operation matters and coordinate with the suppliers’ operation department and barge operators
- Administration work such as sending nominations and following up on invoices
- Involve in hedging and monthly settlement with contract management team
- Provide internal support by keeping track of volume, performance, vessels and analysing market price movements
Your professional skills
- Relevant administrative education
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping or bunker trading is a plus
- English on a high level. Korean is an advantage, not a must
- Experience with MS-Office, especially Excel
