FueLNG 150th STS LNG Bunkering

FueLNG, a prominent LNG bunker supplier in Singapore, proudly commemorated a significant milestone with its 150th Ship-to-Ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation. The achievement was announced with elation, marking a pivotal moment in FueLNG’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

The milestone was reached on March 23rd, 2024, as the FueLNG Bellina successfully conducted the bunkering operation for the NYK Line PCTC Freesia Leader in the port of Singapore. This accomplishment underscores FueLNG’s dedication to advancing sustainable marine fuel alternatives.

Reflecting on the journey, FueLNG noted that it took approximately 2.5 years to complete the first 100 STS LNG bunkering operations. However, the subsequent 50 operations were achieved within a span of just 5 months, highlighting the exponential growth and increasing demand for LNG bunkering services in Singapore.

LNG, renowned as the lowest carbon marine fuel available at scale today, plays a pivotal role in the maritime industry’s pursuit of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. FueLNG emphasized its commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and fostering sustainability by exploring pathways such as bio-LNG and e-LNG.

The accomplishment was made possible through the firm support of FueLNG’s esteemed customers, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), and its shareholders, Seatrium and Shell Singapore. Their trust and partnership were acknowledged as crucial elements in reaching this significant milestone.

As FueLNG celebrates this achievement, the company reaffirms its dedication to driving positive change in the maritime sector. The milestone serves as a testament to FueLNG’s ongoing efforts to provide safe, cost-efficient, and reliable LNG bunkering and distribution solutions.
