EPS 50th LNG Bunkering

EPS recently took delivery of M/T Starway – the world’s second dual fuel LNG Suezmax after M/T Greenway, which was delivered to EPS in June 2022. After delivery, M/T Starway completed LNG bunkering operations in Malaysia. This marked the 50th time in two years that EPS has bunkered LNG across our fleet of dual fuel containerships, dry bulk, and tanker vessels!

Most of EPS’ dual fuel vessels are on long-term time charters to leading companies like BHP, CMA CGM, Equinor, and STL. However, our pair of dual fuel LNG Suezmaxes trade in the spot market. Bunkering LNG for spot vessels showcases our deep commitment to decarbonisation and the industry’s energy transition. It also proves that the needed infrastructure to carry out LNG bunkering already exists for those willing to take action to lower their emissions today.

EPS is proud to play a leading role in this category and will continue to work towards lowering our emissions even further!
