In a significant step towards sustainable shipping solutions: Louise Tricoire, Vice President of Totalenergies Marine Fuels, announced that LNG bunkering vessel Gas Agility, a cornerstone of our LNG bunkering operations in Europe, has successfully completed another spot LNG cargo delivery. On this occasion, the vessel took on the task of refueling the TotalEnergies chartered VLCC ‘Antonis Angelicoussis’ with 2,900 metric tons of LNG in Rotterdam.
“The achievement stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teams based in Geneva and Paris, whose meticulous efforts facilitated the seamless execution of this operation,”
Our experienced LNG bunker trading desk based in Geneva, gains added strength through the presence of Gas Agility at the ARA hub, and its sister ship Gas Vitality stationed in Marseille, covering the Mediterranean hub.
It’s truly exciting to witness the surge in spot deals for LNG bunker fuel in addition to our term contracts, as it signifies the maturation of the LNG bunkering market. We firmly believe that LNG will persist in playing a pivotal role in the shipping industry’s journey towards decarbonization. This belief underscores the significance of such spot sales; the more transactions like this we undertake, the more firmly LNG bunkering establishes itself as a cornerstone of decarbonization efforts within shipping.
At TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, we strive to achieve the highest possible environmental standards through the whole delivery chain, from the refinery or LNG terminal to the customer vessel.
