The transaction allows Nereida to expand its independent energy storage portfolio using its proprietary software, while HPS sharpens its focus as a pure-play, hardware-agnostic electrical system integrator.
Bergen, Norway | June 25, 2026 – Norwegian maritime battery technology firm Nereida Energy AS has finalized an agreement to acquire the maritime battery division of Haf Power Solutions (HPS). Under the terms of the agreement, the business unit will be de-merged from HPS and fully integrated into Nereida’s existing operations, a move that significantly consolidates the independent maritime energy storage systems (ESS) market.
The transaction includes the wholesale transfer of HPS’s commercially established Aegir battery platform, associated intellectual property (IP), ongoing customer projects, and its current order backlog. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

The transaction also marks a deeper corporate realignment. The ACEL Group will officially enter Nereida Energy Holding AS as a strategic shareholder via a share-based consideration.
