Aligning Expertise for a Fossil-Free Future
PTUK brings extensive experience in the international marketing and trading of crude oil, LNG, petroleum products, biofuels, and carbon credits—making it a key partner for integrating e-Fuels into global energy supply chains. This expertise complements INERATEC’s pioneering work in e-Fuel production, which converts CO₂ and renewable hydrogen into drop-in synthetic fuels suitable for aviation, shipping, and heavy transport.
Maximilian Backhaus, Chief Commercial Officer at INERATEC, stated “This partnership with PTUK is a significant commercial milestone in our efforts to scale the adoption of e-Fuels. By teaming up with a company that shares our commitment to clean fuel solutions, we are taking important steps toward defossilizing the transportation sector and contributing to a fossil-free future.”
Scaling e-Fuel Distribution
The collaboration will not only support the distribution of up to 800 tons of e-Fuels, but also enhance market access, infrastructure integration, and long-term investment in sustainable fuel solutions. PTUK’s role in the supply chain will be instrumental in increasing market confidence and paving the way for e-Fuels to play a central role in meeting decarbonization targets globally.
Jazlinawati Osman, Chief Executive Officer of PTUK, added “This collaboration between PTUK and INERATEC is a crucial step in advancing the deployment of alternative fuels. As we work together, we are enhancing access to sustainable solutions.”
Frankfurt: A Hub for Synthetic Fuel Innovation
INERATEC’s Frankfurt facility stands at the forefront of synthetic fuel production, offering cutting-edge, scalable technologies that enable the generation of high-quality e-Fuels. These fuels are designed to be compatible with existing engines and infrastructure, making them a practical alternative to conventional fossil fuels.
As the company continues to expand operations and increase production output, the strategic relationship with PTUK will support the commercial scaling and real-world application of INERATEC’s fuels.
