Marine Sales Executive
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities

The Marine Sales Executive will manage customer transactions for fuel purchases from World Fuel Services (WFS). This role includes the development of new customer accounts and the expansion of business with existing clients.

Core Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Customer Management:
    • Manage requirements from existing customers and ensure continued satisfaction.
    • Proactively develop new business opportunities by researching and analyzing client needs and identifying potential opportunities.
    • Implement action plans for acquiring new business from both existing and new customers.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Analyze and share relevant market information to help identify new business opportunities.
    • Maintain a database of active customer targets and prospects.
  • Customer Engagement & Support:
    • Visit existing and new customers frequently to understand their needs and promote products and services.
    • Act as a reliable point of contact for customer requests and transactions.
  • Credit & Risk Management:
    • Monitor customer use of credit lines and manage credit exposure.
  • Operational Support:
    • Assist in operational/logistical support when necessary, such as coordinating fuel deliveries, resolving claims, and ensuring optimal customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in shipping or marine fuel, with a deep understanding of the dynamics of commodity markets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong numerical and analytical abilities for interpreting market data and pricing products competitively.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with customers and stakeholders.
    • Resilient, tenacious, and proactive in seeking new business opportunities.
    • Ability to manage customer relationships and identify opportunities for business expansion.
