Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) proudly announces the successful delivery of Mount Ossa, the last vessel in their series of six 210,000 dwt Dual-Fuel LNG Newcastlemaxes chartered to Rio Tinto. Laure Baratgin, Head of Commercial Operations, had the honor of being the godmother of the vessel. This delivery also marks a significant milestone as the 21st vessel delivered by New Times Shipbuilding to EPS.

Despite global challenges, Rio Tinto and EPS have demonstrated unparalleled resilience and a strong commitment to decarbonizing shipping. Over the past three years, these LNG-powered vessels have proven to be a sustainable choice, emitting 30% less than their conventional counterparts. EPS has successfully completed over 200 LNG bunkering operations, significantly reducing emissions across its fleet.

The partnership with New Times Shipbuilding is celebrated with this 21st milestone delivery to the EPS fleet. With 43 world-class vessels built and delivered, including those on order from New Times, EPS is only halfway through this esteemed collaboration.

EPS extends special thanks to Rio Tinto and New Times Shipbuilding for their valuable partnership, trust, and belief in their shared vision. Gratitude is also expressed to the teams across sea and shore who were integral in the successful delivery of Mount Ossa.
