The Role: Bunker Trader — Singapore
As a Bunker Trader at Arte Bunkering, you will be a key contributor to the company’s commercial performance and long-term growth, both regionally and globally. Reporting directly to the General Manager in Singapore, you’ll be expected to manage the full trading cycle while leveraging a strong client portfolio and collaborating closely with Arte’s international offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily back-to-back bunker trades, handling inquiries, negotiations, and deals.
- Develop and maintain a personal client portfolio, including ship owners, charterers, and operators.
- Manage the entire trade lifecycle — from negotiation to fixture, delivery coordination, and payment.
- Collaborate with Arte Bunkering’s global teams to service clients and secure competitive supply options.
- Track vessel movements and conduct port/market research to inform trading decisions.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and support.
- Monitor fuel markets, pricing trends, and supply logistics to ensure optimal trade execution.
- Support team performance by contributing to monthly KPIs and office sales targets.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in bunker trading, with a transferable client portfolio.
- Proven ability to generate business and close deals independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Business, Oil & Gas, or a related field.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are highly valued.
- Solid understanding of marine fuel types, trading operations, and shipping logistics.
