Unimot Group Bunker Debut AVIA Poland

Taking another stride towards diversification, the Unimot Group has set sail into the realm of physical deliveries of marine fuels in Polish ports. Unimot Paliwa, a subsidiary of the conglomerate, marked its maiden venture into the bunker fuel market with its inaugural delivery on March 11, 2024. The Fairplay VII vessel, belonging to Fairplay Towage Polska Sp.z o.o. Sp.k., received bunkering services in the port of Gdynia, ushering in a new chapter for Unimot.

Fueling its operations from two of its nine fuel terminals under Unimot Terminale in Gdańsk and Szczecin, the group is primed to cater to the burgeoning demand for marine fuels. Initially focusing on distillation marine fuel MGO:DMA, Unimot commences its deliveries via road tankers in the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia. However, the ambitious plans of Unimot extend far beyond these shores.

In a strategic move slated for the latter half of April, Unimot aims to broaden its horizons by extending its services to additional ports, including Szczecin, Świnoujście, and Police. Robert Brzozowski, the Commercial Vice-President of the Management Board at Unimot S.A., expressed his enthusiasm about this pivotal expansion, emphasizing its significance in bolstering the group’s market presence and service portfolio.

“We are happy to be able to enter a new, promising market. This is another important step towards the diversification of the Unimot Group’s activities, aimed at increasing its presence on the market and expanding its services,” remarked Brzozowski, underscoring the strategic importance of leveraging the group’s extensive infrastructure and expertise cultivated over three decades in the Polish market.

Moreover, Unimot is contemplating further augmentation of its offerings by venturing into the delivery of residual-type bunker fuels, such as VLSFO and HSFO. This prospective expansion hinges on the planned enhancement of terminal infrastructure in Gdańsk, indicative of Unimot’s forward-looking approach and commitment to meeting evolving market demands.

As Unimot Group unfurls its sails into the marine fuel sector, it stands poised to navigate the waves of opportunity, fortified by its legacy of excellence and unwavering commitment to innovation.
