In a significant achievement, TotalEnergies Marine Fuels recently completed its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation for Mediterranean Shipping Company’s 15,000 TEU MSC AAYA containership.
The operation, which took place at the Port of Marseille Fos, involved the smooth and safe transfer of 6,350 m³ of LNG from the LNG bunker vessel Gas Vitality to the MSC AAYA.
This milestone represents a noteworthy addition to TotalEnergies growing LNG bunkering portfolio and underscores the company’s commitment to providing cleaner and more sustainable marine fuels.
Louise Tricoire, Vice President of TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, expressed her gratitude for the collaborative effort that made this achievement possible. The successful operation was the result of outstanding cooperation between TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, the MSC team, the ship’s crew, and the Port of Marseille Fos team.
