Peninsula, a global leader in marine fuel supply, is seeking a Marine Fuel Trader – Yachts to join our team in Monaco. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing and selling marine fuel and associated products while cultivating profitable relationships with clients and suppliers. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Marine Fuel Trader – Yachts, Responsibilities
- Proactively market to new and existing customers, building relationships to drive inquiries and sales of Peninsula’s products and services.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with Captains and suppliers to increase business margins within the region.
- Collaborate with the global Yachts team to facilitate the flow of market and customer intelligence.
- Analyze market conditions, identify client needs, negotiate deals, and handle customer queries.
- Stay informed about yachting and oil sector developments to identify competitive advantages.
- Work with the Yacht Manager to develop and implement trading strategies.
- Participate in internal and external marketing activities.
- Control risks by vetting customers and suppliers, minimizing costs of claims, and considering counterparty financial strength.
Requirements
- Business-level proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is desirable.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Customer-oriented with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of commercial acumen and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and development.
