About the Role: Sales Manager, Maritime
The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in expanding Gasum’s market share and promoting sustainable fuel solutions across the maritime sector. You will be instrumental in developing both short- and long-term business opportunities, with a focus on growing sales of LNG and LBG.
You will join a team of 10 sales professionals across four locations, reporting directly to the Vice President Maritime. This role is ideal for a goal-oriented team player who focuses on opportunities and solutions when faced with challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and follow up on new leads, with a strong focus on securing spot opportunities.
- Develop and convert maritime business opportunities into successful short- and long-term sales contracts.
- Actively manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships.
- Represent and market Gasum at various industry venues, including maritime fairs and conferences.
- Maintain close dialogue with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and coordinate sales efforts aligned with Gasum’s profitability goals.
- Act as a project manager/owner for various strategic programs within the maritime team.
- Take an active role in developing and improving the ways of working within the maritime sales team.
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant educational background to support success as a maritime sales manager.
- Relevant sales experience, preferably from within the maritime & shipping sector and fuel trade.
- Proficiency in standard IT applications, including MS Office 365.
- Proficient in English and German (both oral and written communication).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by the business.
