About the Role: Senior Key Account Manager – Cruise Lines
As Senior Key Account Manager, you will take full ownership of a defined portfolio of cruise line clients, serving as the primary point of contact for their marine fuel procurement and service needs. Reporting directly to Soeren Mikkelsen, Commercial Director (Houston), you will play a key role in delivering commercial value, maintaining exceptional client service, and driving new opportunities across the cruise sector.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in marine fuel sales, bunker trading, or cruise operations—ideally someone who thrives in fast-paced, relationship-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain strategic relationships with senior decision-makers across leading cruise operators.
- Serve as the dedicated account lead for assigned cruise clients, ensuring consistent service excellence.
- Identify commercial opportunities and create customized bunker supply strategies aligned with client needs.
- Negotiate competitive fuel contracts and pricing structures while ensuring profitability and service reliability.
- Collaborate closely with global trading and supply teams to secure best-in-market fuel solutions.
- Monitor evolving market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging developments in the cruise and marine fuel sectors.
- Liaise with internal departments including credit, risk, and operations to support seamless transaction execution.
- Represent KPI OceanConnect at industry events, conferences, and on-site client meetings as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bunker trading, marine fuel sales, or the cruise industry.
- Established network and strong relationships within cruise line procurement and fuel management circles.
- Demonstrated ability to close high-value contracts and manage complex commercial negotiations.
- Sharp analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a customer-centric sales approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with high motivation, resilience, and adaptability in a high-demand setting.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as business requires.
