About the Role: Junior Bunker Trader
As a Junior Bunker Trader, you will be trained on the tools and techniques of fuel trading, building a strong understanding of the bunker market and developing your own sourcing channels and client relationships. This role plays a vital part in expanding business operations and contributing to sustainable growth within the maritime fuel sector.
You’ll join a high-performing team that values collaboration, innovation, and a commercial mindset, while gaining direct exposure to international markets and real-time decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Junior Bunker Trader
- Buy and sell marine fuel and lubricants for the global shipping industry
- Initiate and nurture relationships with new and existing clients
- Conduct contract negotiations and finalize deals under agreed terms
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Support daily bunker trading operations and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues across nine global offices
Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, shipping, or logistics—or a fast learner with a commercial mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for international trade and a proactive, sales-driven attitude
- Fluent in a Scandinavian language (preferably Norwegian) and English
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and goal-focused with a “hunter” mentality
- Curious, ambitious, and ready to take initiative in a high-energy environment
