The Job
We are currently recruiting for Bunker Trader to join our UK Bunker team based at our Head Office in Grangemouth.
The key responsibilities are:
- Trade and broker marine fuels, lubricants and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) within the strategy plan of GBFL
- Prepare and process quotations, sales enquiries, sales confirmation and prepare contracts
- Build and maintain customer / supplier relationships
- Generate new business as required to exceed income target through direct communication
- Analyse trends in the market including bunker pricing to produce accurate forecasts so as to maximise profit

- You must be outgoing with strong communication skills
- You must be able to multitask and prioritise and have good organisational skills
- You must be able to produce and maintain accurate documents
- You will have a strong customer and commercial focus
- You will have a desire to improve services offered to customers by analysing performance and reviewing suppliers
- You will have a good understanding and appreciation of a proactive safety culture
- You will have experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Developing new business is a key role of a Bunker Trader and therefore you will be self-motivated and driven individual with a strong commercial focus and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- You must be able to present information to clients in a concise manner and have good sales technique
This role requires you to work out with normal working hours, so a degree of flexibility is essential.
Experience in a similar role within the marine industry is desirable.
