Mexican infrastructure leader Énestas has partnered with Power LNG to expand into the U.S. market, supporting the development of Project Seawolf and the Harborside Terminal at the Port of Galveston. The strategic alliance combines Énestas’ capital and downstream logistics expertise with Power LNG’s facility development to deliver immediate truck-loaded supply alongside long-term marine LNG bunkering, virtual pipeline distribution, and export capabilities.
Houston, TX | August 12, 2026 – Mexican LNG infrastructure leader Énestas has officially entered the United States market, forging a high-stakes strategic partnership with Power LNG to fast-track the development of bunkering, virtual pipeline logistics, and export capabilities at the Port of Galveston.
Announced in Houston, the definitive agreements position Énestas to inject vital capital, specialized logistics assets, and heavy downstream expertise into Power LNG’s ambitious Project Seawolf and the associated Harborside Terminal on Pelican Island.
Accelerating Pelican Island’s Infrastructure
Under the terms of the collaboration, Énestas will provide critical LNG transportation and storage equipment alongside active operational support. The alliance establishes an immediate, near-term framework to kickstart truck-loading operations and virtual pipeline distribution. This ensures that regional industrial users, marine fuel clients, and export markets can be supplied seamlessly while Project Seawolf undergoes long-term facility construction.
Project Seawolf is engineered to serve as a next-generation liquefaction, marine bunkering, and distribution center positioned directly inside one of the United States’ fastest-growing cruise, energy, and cargo corridors.
Austin Terry, Founder and CEO of Power LNG, underscored the strategic weight of the collaboration:
“Our vision has always been to establish Galveston as the premier LNG hub for the Gulf Coast. Énestas brings years of operational experience, proven LNG infrastructure, and a talented team that understands how to deliver LNG safely and efficiently. Together, we can immediately begin serving customers while laying the foundation for one of the most strategic LNG bunkering facilities in North America.”
A Milestone for International Growth
For Énestas, which has spent more than a decade building out downstream natural gas logistics and virtual pipeline networks across Mexico, the venture marks a calculated evolution into the broader North American market.
Caio Zapata, Chief Executive Officer of Énestas, noted the vast potential unlocked by the partnership:
“This partnership represents a natural evolution for Énestas as we expand our downstream LNG business into the United States. We see tremendous opportunities in marine bunkering, virtual pipeline logistics, industrial LNG supply, and exports to Latin America and the Caribbean, and we are excited to build that future together.”
Beyond Project Seawolf, the joint framework enables both companies to scout and target additional downstream LNG opportunities across the entire U.S. Gulf Coast, combining Power LNG’s project development agility with Énestas’ extensive supply chain acumen.
