Since November 2020, the company has accumulated nearly 2.92 million cubic meters of LNG fuel across its fleet. The landmark operation was successfully executed for the Lake Victoria, a dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), at the German port of Emden. This latest milestone underscores how alternative marine fuels are rapidly transitioning from niche pilot phases into robust, large-scale commercial realities.
Scaling Up: From Vision to Execution
Since initiating its first LNG bunkering operation in November 2020, when a dual-fuel ultra-large container ship took on fuel in Rotterdam—EPS has aggressively scaled its infrastructure and operational know-how.
According to operational data released by the company, EPS has accumulated a total LNG bunkering volume of 2,920,191 cubic meters across its growing network. Reaching 700 operations highlights not only the sheer scale of the company’s capital commitment to alternative-fuel tonnage, but also the meticulous coordination, technical expertise, and safety culture maintained by its teams at sea and ashore.
