Junior Trader – About the Role
As a Junior Trader at Bunker One, you will support the day-to-day operations of our trading desk while building a strong foundation in the key areas of marine fuel trading, sourcing, and client relations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in the full trading cycle—from pre- to post-fixing—learning everything from market analysis to transaction execution.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team of four traders in our Rio de Janeiro office, playing a vital role in Bunker One’s global operations and commercial presence in South America.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pre- and post-fixture processes including documentation, transaction support, and market intelligence
- Support client management by building and maintaining strong commercial relationships
- Participate in sourcing activities to identify reliable supply opportunities
- Learn to analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and customer needs
- Collaborate with experienced traders and cross-functional teams
- Contribute to the continuous growth and efficiency of the trading desk
