Bunker Trader Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trading marine fuel on a global basis
- Researching, developing, and maintaining strong business relationships with new clients, including shipping, operating, and chartering companies
- Initiating contacts with potential customers via phone (cold calling) and emails
- Creating and managing your own portfolio
- Monitoring the entire bunker supply chain and trade cycle, from loading to delivery and payment
- Staying updated on market developments
- Assisting existing clients and current deals
- Participating in international bunker conferences (after trial)
- Achieving KPIs and quarterly targets
Skills & Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in shipping, business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in active B2B sales in the market
- Work experience in bunkering, shipping markets, or the oil and commodity industry is a strong advantage
- Willingness to continually foster and expand client relationships
- Fluency in English is a must (Greek and Russian language skills will be a plus)
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to represent the company at trade events and network effectively
- Results-oriented with a passion for the oil industry and a proactive business development mindset
