Bunker Trader Job Description
The Bunker Trader will play a pivotal role in expanding Banle’s presence and client base across the European market, managing both new and existing clients, and overseeing daily operations related to bunker fuel trading. The responsibilities include:
- Cultivating new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones to identify new business opportunities in the bunker fuel market.
- Handling daily inquiries from clients and following up on orders in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinating order deliveries both internally and externally to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintaining close communication with clients to identify their needs and develop long-term business relationships.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and managing client accounts through excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Collaborating closely with the supply team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Performing ad hoc assignments as needed to support the growth and efficiency of the business.
Key Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the bunker fuel market, demonstrating strong industry knowledge and expertise.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong business acumen, with a focus on analytical thinking and logical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with both clients and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with communication platforms like Zoom.
- A good command of spoken and written English is essential for success in this role.
- Immediate availability would be a significant advantage.
