Elenger Enters Poland LNG Bunker Market

Gdańsk, Poland | July 14, 2025 – Elenger, the largest private energy company in the Baltic-Finnish region, has officially expanded its operations into Poland, marking its entry into the country’s growing LNG bunkering market. The company confirmed its strategic expansion with the successful completion of its inaugural bunkering operation on July 6 at the Gdańsk shipyard. This move leverages Elenger’s deep expertise in LNG supply and infrastructure to service the Central European maritime sector.

Inaugural Bunkering via Tank Truck

The historic bunkering operation supplied LNG to vessel NB101, a ship designed for transporting passengers and vehicles.

Crucially, the bunkering was carried out using tank trucks, a method that enables flexible and safe fuel delivery to vessels throughout the seaport. This flexible, truck-to-ship (TTS) method is essential for establishing bunkering services in ports that lack fixed terminal infrastructure.

We are pleased with this historic step on the Polish market. This is the result of many years of experience of our specialists in LNG supplies and in the construction of regasification stations. Now we are successfully transferring these competences to the bunkering market,” said Marius Kairys, Head of Elenger’s operations in Poland.

Expanding LNG Bunkering Footprint

Elenger’s entry into Poland extends its existing LNG bunkering reach in the Baltic-Finnish region, where it has previously performed successful operations in the key ports of Tallinn, Helsinki, and Hanko. The company utilizes its fleet of LNG trucks to deliver environmentally friendly LNG for maritime transport, as well as industrial and heating purposes.

Poland represents the sixth market for Elenger, which already operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Germany, serving over 450,000 customers.
