Global environmental commodity leader Anew Climate has launched a new regional hub in Singapore to scale its high-integrity carbon markets and low-carbon fuel solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. Led by the relocating President of Low Carbon Fuels, Andy Brosnan, the hub will bridge regional supply with global markets while advancing cross-border compliance programs, Article 6 mechanisms, and alternative energy offtake opportunities.
Singapore | May 18, 2026 – As the maritime and energy sectors face intensifying pressure to decarbonize, global environmental commodity heavyweight Anew Climate (“Anew”) has announced the opening of its new regional hub in Singapore. The strategic expansion is designed to enhance the company’s localized capabilities across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and accelerate the scaling of high-integrity climate solutions globally.
The new Singapore office will serve as the central node for Anew’s APAC operations. It arrives at a critical juncture for the maritime and energy industries, which are increasingly navigating complex international compliance frameworks, cross-border carbon accounting, and the commercial scaling of next-generation low-carbon fuels.
Linking Global Markets and Driving Compliance
From its Singapore base, Anew aims to bridge regional supply with global demand, facilitating cross-border environmental asset trading and low-carbon fuel flows between Asia, North America, and Europe. The hub will focus heavily on servicing the rapidly evolving compliance landscape, including:
- Article 6 Mechanisms: Supporting host countries and private entities in developing internationally transferable mitigation outcomes (ITMOs).
- CORSIA Development: Navigating the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation as compliance obligations tighten.
- Regional Environmental Compliance: Helping APAC industrial and maritime players meet localized emission mandates.
Singapore’s robust ecosystem in climate finance, structured policy, and international commodities trading makes it the optimal launchpad for Anew to deploy capital into high-quality, high-integrity regional projects.
Leadership in Action: Andy Brosnan Relocates to Singapore
To spearhead this critical expansion, Andy Brosnan, President of Anew’s Global Low Carbon Fuels group, will relocate to Singapore. Under his direct leadership, the regional team will focus on identifying and scaling carbon project development opportunities that align tightly with Singapore’s rigorous credit-generation standards.
Crucially for the bunker and energy sectors, Brosnan’s team will prioritize unlocking cross-regional offtake opportunities for low-carbon fuels, establishing supply security for alternative energy vectors across major global shipping and transport lanes.
Executive Commentary
Angela Schwarz, Chief Executive Officer of Anew Climate, commented, “Our expansion into Asia represents a significant step forward in Anew’s global growth strategy. Singapore’s leadership in climate finance, policy, and international trade makes it an ideal base to deepen partnerships, deploy capital efficiently, and link high‑quality projects with global markets.”
Schwarz added that a physical presence in the city-state allows for much closer collaboration with regional partners and regulators. “The team will play a key role in advancing credible carbon markets and new energy transition pathways,” she noted.
