Chicago | July 13, 2026 – Agricultural and supply chain leader ADM has successfully wrapped up its first global B100 biofuel trial voyage, marking a major milestone in the company’s lower-carbon logistics strategy.
Conducted over a five-day period from June 2 to June 6, 2026, off the coast of Brazil, the trial tested the real-world performance of 100% pure biofuel onboard the MV Harvest Rain. The operation evaluated how the fuel handles across every phase of maritime transit—from onboard storage and purification to engine reliability and daily crew operations.
A Unique End-to-End Operational First
Beyond its environmental significance, the voyage marked a unique operational first for ADM. In a rare display of vertical integration across the supply chain, ADM acted simultaneously as the exporter, charterer, owner, receiver, and processor of the cargo.
