Verde Marine Energy (VME) has expanded its service portfolio to include the supply and procurement of marine lubricants, welcoming industry veteran Patrick Koers to lead the new division. Furthermore, VME has integrated AdBlue and urea sourcing into its offerings to support clients with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems in cutting nitrogen oxide emissions.

To spearhead the new division, the company has appointed industry veteran Patrick Koers as Lubricant Trader.
The strategic move allows VME to evolve beyond its core bunker operations in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region, offering shipowners and operators a unified, single point of contact for both marine fuels and lubricant requirements.
Bringing Four Decades of Lubricant Expertise
Koers brings approximately 40 years of specialized experience in shipping and lubricant trading to Verde Marine Energy, having previously managed procurement networks for prominent firms including Sea Bunkering International, North Sea Petroleum, and Frisol. Operating from Rotterdam, Koers will oversee the setup and scaling of VME’s dedicated lubricant activities for third-party maritime customers.
